Following a pretty calm weekend where no major issues were brought to our attention, I’m happy to say that invitations to the PM are going out as we speak!
As a reminder the emails will take some time to filter out, 2 - 3 hours at an estimation. We ask for your patience as everything gets sent.

Backerkit - using the Pledge Manager

With the Pledge Manager just around the corner, I wanted to write you all a comprehensive guide to using Backerkit.
Please read this attentively. The information below should answer 90% of questions you may have!
The PM Launch and Email link
The PM will be going live Monday the 2nd of December, late evening European time, Mid afternoon EST and around early afternoon PCT.
You will see when we launch as there will be announcements here, on the Discord, Social Media, etc.
When we hit the go button the emails will take some time to filter out, 2 - 3 hours at an estimation. We ask for your patience as everything gets sent out.
The email will be coming from Factory Fortress INC and look like so:

Where is my email?
If your invitation doesn’t look like it arrived, please check your spam folders as well as “promotional” tabs on email clients like Gmail.
All invitations will be sent to the email address linked to your Kickstarter account, so please check your account here on Kickstarter if you’re unsure.
Please do all of the above BEFORE contacting us to ask for assistance.
If you cannot access your email or need to have it changed for any other reason, you can contact us here and we will make the changes for you.
Apple Pay IDs
Backers who have pledged to the campaign using their AppleID but haven't completely set up their Apple Pay account (linking their email address to their Apple Wallet) will have issues receiving their emails from BackerKit. Please contact us here and provide us with an alternative email address.

When you follow the link you will arrive on this screen.
You can click “Get Started” to jump right into things.
Changing your pledge level
If you want to change your pledge level, you absolutely can. Just below the green button is a hyperlink “Switch your Pledge Level”.
Clicking this will give you the choice of all the pledges that were available during the campaign.
At the top is your original pledge level, and you can choose which one you’d like to swap to and then hit “Switch” at the bottom.
If the new pledge level is more expensive than your original pledge, you will be asked to pay the difference at the end of the survey.
If the new pledge level is cheaper than your original pledge, your account will be credited the difference which you can spend on add-ons, shipping, taxes, etc.
When you hit switch this window will appear:
Do not worry about this, it’s just confirming what’s said above.
Warband choice
After you’ve hit the “Get started” button, the first thing you’ll be confronted with is your choice of warband for the physical (85$) and Digital (67$) levels. Simply make your choice and hit next.
Once you’ve made your choice, or if you didn’t choose one of those aforementioned pledge levels, you’ll see this screen just letting you know what we’ve said here previously.
As it says, your pledges have been converted over to credits here. Additionally, you will need to reselect any add-ons you chose during the Kickstarter which you can do in:
Add-ons
So this next section will look very familiar to anyone that has used an online store before.
On the left are all the articles you can add to your pledge. On the right is a rundown of your pledge funds. This will change as you add more things to your cart.
You all know the drill I think, you find what you’d like, hit “add to cart” and you’re good to go.
As a reminder:
- “Bundles” have become “Reinforcements”
- If you buy the Warband and Reinforcements sets for a faction, you will have all the minis for that faction.
We’ve split everything off into both physical and digital versions. Each is labeled as such and, additionally, digital items are in blue.
You can click on an item for more information
Once you’ve finished adding everything you’d like to your cart, you can hit the “Next” button.
Shipping
You’ll now be asked to provide your shipping information.
As the page says, you will be able to update your shipping address even after the PM has closed.
If you are not sure where you will be during the delivery period, you can have your rewards sent to friends and family to be safe.
Once you hit “Next” the following pop-up may appear:
Backerkit uses a system to check shipping addresses. It may be that it identifies a slight improvement which we generally recommend that you accept.
Please remember that you are only paying for shipping on the books during this Pledge Manager. As mentioned before, shipping for the miniatures and dice will be paid later, after the Pledge Manager closes.
Confirmation and payment
Once your shipping details have been confirmed you’ll be brought to the payment page.
Here you can review all the details of your order before paying. You have the option to pay via Card or Paypal.
Please note that you will not be charged immediately but only once the PM closes on the 16th of December. Up until then, you can make any changes you’d like to your rewards.
If there is an issue with your payment you will be notified via email and asked to correct it within one week.
Paypal Errors
Please note that Paypal payments may not work on launch day. If they do not, come back on Tuesday or Wednesday and try again, the issue should be resolved by then.
Assistance
If you have any issues with the PM, you can click the “Need Help?” link which is in the top right of the bar on each page.
Here you can find a lot of information including an FAQ which we’ll keep updated with the most prevalent questions.
Contact us
Additionally, there is a “Contact Us” tab which you can use if you have specific questions.
Please use this tab to send any messages pertaining to the PM. Do not contact us here on KS, FB, email, etc as it will be much more time consuming to resolve any issues.
Closing date
The PM will be closing first thing in the morning on Monday December 16th, 2024.
Once the PM is locked down, your cards/paypal will be charged. Everyone’s information will then be sent to suppliers for fulfillment.
As we’ve said in the past, our intention is to fulfil this project ASAP so you must fill out your form before the deadline. Failing that, you will still be able to contact us up until Sunday the 5th of January 2025 and we will still be able to take your order, however, you will receive your rewards after everyone else.
Past the 5th of January however we will not be able to fulfil your pledge and it will be considered a donation.
Refunds
As a reminder: We can issue refunds up until the closing date of the pledge manager. However, they will be -10% to cover Kickstarter and payment processing fees.
After the 16th of December we will not be issuing refunds.
TLDR: COMPLETE YOUR BACKER SURVEY OR YOUR GOLD WILL BE OFFERED UP TO MAMMON.
Smoke test going live today.

Greetings Crusaders,
Following our Alpha test, which brought up a small issue that Backerkit has now fixed, we will be proceeding with the Beta Smoke test.
1000 of you will be receiving your surveys later today. Despite this being called a “Smoke Test” these are your actual surveys. Please fill them out as you normally would.
Before sending out the surveys, I’ll also be posting a comprehensive guide to using Backerkit.
Please read this attentively as it will answer 90% of questions you may have.
Normally, we’ve ironed out any issues with the PM but should you find anything, please drop a message into the comments here.
Monday I’ll go through all the feedback and make any adjustments before sending out the other invites.

Thanksgiving PM Delay

Greetings Crusaders,
You’re going to have to forgive me here, but when setting the previous dates, my poor, tired, European brain forgot one major factor: Thanksgiving.
The issue is that the Backerkit team will (and rightly so) be out of the office Thursday and Friday. As you can imagine, I’m not very keen on sending out 20k surveys without any tech support to hand.
I’ve spent over a week refining the pledge manager and checking for any issues BUT if something does go wrong it’s going to be a very frustrating weekend for everyone involved if we can’t get the matter solved ASAP.
Therefore, the pledge manager will now be going live on Monday the 2nd of December with the Backerkit team on hand to help.
This does not affect the closing date which will remain the 15th of December. Therefore, it will not delay delivery of the STLs or any other part of the schedule. We should still be doing the smoke test tomorrow as planned.
My sincerest apologies for this oversight, Crusaders. We only get one shot at getting this right, so I’d rather we play it safe. Thank you for your understanding and, to all the American members of our little community: Happy Thanksgiving.
PM info and dates

Greetings Crusaders,
A very good day to all of you and we hope you had a nice weekend!
As promised, we’re back with info about the upcoming Pledge Manager. We’ll start with the current state of affairs, move on to dates and then a few specifics of how everything will work.
Backerkit
So, the main reason that we’re not going live today is one that Lucifer himself no doubt put on this earth just to test me over the past week: Sales Taxes. As we mentioned during the campaign, you’ll be charged these during the PM and they’re calculated depending on your billing location.
Originally we were working with Gamefound who automatically calculate and collect these taxes (nice and simple for us). However, in our setup UK, EU and RoW backers will be receiving products from two different regions: minis from the UK and books from the EU. Gamefound’s system does not allow for this and in their defense it is very uncommon for a project to do this.
Therefore we’ve pivoted to a platform called Backerkit whose system does allow for this. Therefore, when your invitations arrive later this week, they will be from Backerkit, not Gamefound.
I do want to emphasise that this is the only reason we’ve changed platforms, Gamefound is still an excellent service and a great team. At the same time, I want to thank Backerkit for taking us on so fast and for all the help they’ve provided.
Dates
Now, as Backerkit doesn’t calculate taxes automatically, I’ve had to spend a lot of time elbow deep in international tax rates for our different products.
Needless to say, I would rather have been broken upon the wheel, sold as a wretched or drunk a Black Grail-bomb. But, as they say, we all make our own personal hells and this is mine. A shout out to our American friends because by the meta-christ how do you do this every year URGH.
Ok, venting aside, this should be completed and checked by the end of tomorrow along with the other final preparations.
Therefore the plan is as follows:

Monday 25th - Tuesday 26th: Final preps and checks.

Wednesday 27th: Alpha test with a small group of Apostles, Trench Wardens and Missionaries (basically community members from the Discord server). A quick tryout with a very small group of people to catch any major issues.

Thursday 28th: Beta Smoke test. With the major problems (hopefully) out of the way, 5% of you chosen at random will receive your Invitations to the Backerkit. Hopefully this will catch any remaining issues before…

Friday 29th: PM launches. This will be the full launch for all backers and you should receive your invitation before the end of the weekend.
The PM will run from Friday the 29th of November until the morning of Monday the 15th of December.
A late pledge option will be running at the same time and I will of course post and share the link.
Overview
A quick preview of the page so you all know what to expect:
First of all, once you boot up the PM, if you pledged for at the $85 Physical Warband or $67 Digital Warband levels, you’ll be prompted to choose the warband you’d like to receive.
You’ll then be able to move on to the Add-ons section. Backerkit is much easier to use than Kickstarter and everything is arranged like for an online store. You click, add to cart and done.
As a reminder, any funds pledged during the campaign over your selected pledge level are converted to credits on BK. You need to select the add-ons you wish to receive. They have not been added to your cart automatically.
Once you’ve finished adding things to your cart, you proceed through a checkout process like those you’ve no doubt seen a million times before. Simple!
For those of you wondering, the late pledge option will look very similar.
Erratas
A few quick changes and corrections:
Bundles -> Reinforcements
Some of you may have noticed from the above image, but “Faction bundles” have been renamed to “reinforcements” for clarity.
HL bundle
The Heretic Legion Digital Reinforcements set is now correctly priced.
Bases
This was forgotten in our last update but during our visit to OG we were given samples of the bases that will be supplied with physical minis and were surprised to find that they were not plastic but indeed PLA printed. Now, before some of you go for the comments section, I know what you’re thinking and, honestly, we were very impressed. You can barely feel any print lines, let alone see them. After a base coat and, at the most, maybe a little bit of sanding, these will be indistinguishable from plastic bases. They also come with recesses for magnets for those of you that use them.
Shipping
As a reminder, you will only be paying shipping for the books during the PM. Those of you ordering physical minis or dice will be contacted after the PM by OG and BoD respectively to confirm shipping addresses and pay the required costs.
Also, whilst double checking shipping prices for the campaign, we were warned by our suppliers that due to the physical products being shipped next year, there will be a general price increase across the board like every year and I didn’t factor this into the pricing on the campaign page. I apologise to you all for what is an oversight on my part. The increase roughly translates to a $2-$5 increase in shipping depending on your location.
Delivery order
Insofar as it is possible, OG will be delivering rewards based on your Kickstarter backer number, with the lowest numbers receiving their rewards first. However, this is not a hard and fast rule. It may change during the delivery process if it allows OG to get packages out the door faster.
